The other night I was driving us home from the mall in the Mustang. My husband was sitting in the passenger seat, and of course he didn't have his seatbelt on, much to my chagrin (he never wears it in my car, says it is too restrictive).
He was goofing around, leaning towards me, pinching my cheeks and stuff. A police officer who was driving toward us in oncoming traffic turned around down the road, sped up behind us, and started flashing his lights. I wasn't speeding and I know my front lights work. I figured he was going to bitch at my husband for not wearing his seatbelt. Of course he put the belt back on before the cop got to the car...
The cop stalled for a minute behind my car and then walked around to my husband's window. He poked his head in and asked my husband why he was leaning over into me while I was driving. He replied, "I was trying to give my wife a kiss." The cop paused for a minute and said, "Well, that is dangerous." My husband said, "I didn't realize it was so extreme." The cop said it was and that they have to check on anything that looks suspicious. He said, for all he knew, my husband had been hitting me. Luckily, he let us go after that. It was so strange...now I'm going to feel paranoid every time I try to cuddle with my husband in the car!
