I am feeling restless. I chalk it up to too much sleep and too much caffeine. Kate visited me Monday and Tuesday, so my afternoons were fun. We watched celebrity gossip shows and scary movies and chatted about everything from whether my 62 yr old surgeon is single to what I should do for my birthday.
Today I am still stuck on the birthday issue. I really just want to get a group of people together for drinks on Friday, February 12. Not sure whether I should stay local or go with a bar in the city. Right now my top contenders are Blue Razz in South Elgin and Howl at the Moon in Chicago.
More importantly, Matt and I need to decide what to do about our car situation. We just found out the Land Rover either needs $2k or $7k worth of repairs, depending on what the problem is. It will take $200 to diagnose the exact problem. Should we donate/sell this car and buy a slightly used Subaru? What should we do with the Mustang, which is pretty useless in the winter and has 130k miles on it? Advice, please!
I haven't been walking the past two days since I started feeling really sore on Monday. I have a hunch I overdid it a little by walking so much. I am feeling better now, so I plan to walk again tomorrow. I'll probably just skip the stepper.
I have been pretty good about not consuming more than 1200-1500 cal. The scale still says 160 lbs but I am suffering from a horrible case of PMS (explains how I managed to sleep till noon today!) so I pray the number drops once the bloat dissipates.
Tomorrow I at least get a chance to get out for a while, even if it is just for a doctor's appointment. I just hope the doctor says the bone chip is still right where he put it during surgery and things look just perfect. Wish me luck!
