What you don't know but should

Apparently, the Supreme Court recently ruled that foreign terrorism suspects held at Guantanamo Bay have rights under the Constitution to challenge their detention in U.S. civilian courts. Ok...let me get this straight...now suspected terrorists possess the U.S. civilian right to trial -- represented by a public denfender paid for by our taxes?!?!? Actually, proven terrorists -- they were captured in the act of plotting. Our own soldiers give up their right to a fair trial when they enlist in the armed forces. If they are indicted of a war crime, they have to go before a tribunal. So basically, these suspected terrorists have more U.S. rights than our own soldiers, who are defending the very rights which they themselves had to give up?!?! I feel like I've entered the Twilight Zone.

And as if that is not infuriating enough, terrorist detainees are living large. Detainees get top-notch medical care, along with dental care -- which some have never had before. Many detainees correspond with family members, and have access to soccer fields and other recreational facilities. Their meals are even prepared to meet their religious dietary constraints. Are you kidding me?!?!? Next thing you know, we'll be installing foot baths in U.S. airports...oh wait...we already did that! But no, Catholic teachers can't wear crosses. And we can't say "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance anymore. I don't see a nativity scene display anywhere in U.S. airports.

Oh...and all of that bullshit we've been fed about torturing detainees...false! No evidence exists of any such treatment. Cases were brought before judges but were always dismissed due to lack of proof. Things were blown out of proportion to further taint President Bush's reputation. Don't trust the media...they are downplaying this war on terror.

So now...not only are we not allowed to use aggressive means to question these terrorists, but they have more rights (on American soil -- the America they seek to destroy!) than our own soldiers and live better than many lower-SES families in the U.S.

To those of you who don't believe in this war...do a little research. You'll see there is a real threat, and all of these humanitarian, touchy-feely liberal policies are only serving to weaken our defenses against the followers of radical Islam whose main objective is to wipe us off the map. Looks like they may not have to go that far. We've just given them an in. They now have the power to tear us apart through strategic manipulation of our justice system.
