Bring Me to Life

...is probably what my garden would say to me right now if it could talk! I don't have an official garden, but our home came with some landscaping in front. Last spring we put in some extra flowers. They haven't started to bloom yet this year...they're looking pretty sad right now. I need to figure out what to do. On my walk I was checking out everyone else's front lawns and getting inspired. I think I want to put stones/rocks around the garden, add more mulch, maybe replace the flowers with lush plants (our flowers never seem to grow...I don't think the front of our house gets enough sunlight). We could also use a new welcome mat.

Inside I'd like to get a new bedspread and some roman shades for our bedroom. I'd also like to finish painting upstairs. Only 3 rooms, a hallway, and one huge wall to go! I'm hoping to get a new shower curtain and bathroom mats as well. I get bored every year or so and like to change it up.

I am going to focus all my nervous energy on things I can control...like eating better, exercising more, working on the house and yard. I just have to make sure I don't let these things become so huge in my mind they start to stress me out, like everything else seems to be doing lately. :-/

I almost finished all the homework I intended to do. I'll put finishing touches on everything Friday before we go out. As for my certification paperwork, I just need to go to the bank and get a cashier's check tomorrow night, then my file will be ready to go! I'll be so glad when grad school is over, I have my IL professional certification, and my male co-worker is no longer in my life. Only a few weeks to go before all of these things happen...keep your fingers crossed that I make it to the finish line sanity intact! :)
