One of my goals is to lose weight before TTC again in a few months. I gained weight over the past couple months due to being pregnant, so now the plan is to get back down to ~140 lbs. I am going to do the WW method, since it is honestly the only thing that has worked for me with lasting results. I drop weight quick with Atkins, but I can never keep it up. Besides, carbs are too tasty and convenient to live without!
Anyhow, based on my current weight of 159 lbs (yikes!), I am allowed 22 pts per day, plus 35 flex pts per week. I am going to follow the Wendie Plan. Here is how I'm going to spend my pts throughout the week (this does not include my flex pts, which I'll use as needed):
22 Points A Day
Day 1 = 20 (Fri)
Day 2 = 32 (Sat)
Day 3 = 18 (Sun)
Day 4 = 22 (Mon)
Day 5 = 21 (Tues)
Day 6 = 18 (Wed)
Day 7 = 23 (Thurs) -- Weigh in
If anyone out there is interested in being my weight loss buddy, let me know. We can check in with each other daily on what we eat and how much we exercise to help keep each other on track! And for anyone out there interested in doing WW, dwlz.com is a terrific resource.
Wish me luck!!!

I'm back on WW because I gained four pounds this summer with all my traveling. Hilary is doing it too, and we are texting each other every day.
As a WW alumni, I'm confused by your daily points system! I aim for the same thing daily because it helps my body get used to the portions I should be eating.
Also, I do a combination of flex and core. I eat mostly core foods but I don't limit my carbs. However, my carbs are all whole grains loaded with fiber. (They taste better, anyway.) I still track my points, too. The easiest way to do this is just cut carbs out of one meal - lunch or dinner. Put your lunch meat and cheese on a salad instead, or skip the rice and have two veggies.
I wish you all the best and can promise you WW is the way to go! I'm also a HUGE supporter of going to the meetings - it made all the difference for me! If you want to text me each day that would be great!!!
