Olympic Thoughts

After watching the Olympics coverage on and off for the past couple weeks, I realized a few things. First, I don't understand the scoring process for figure skating. I don't understand how a skater could be 30 pts ahead of someone else when neither fell or messed up horribly. Can anyone explain this to me?

Second, I don't like curling. I think it's a boring sport. It also lacks visual appeal. I picture all the players walking around with their sporting equipment in one hand and a beer in the other. Matt likes it; why, exactly, is beyond me.

Finally, I am nervous for the USA hockey team. If we beat Canada today, it will be the first time we've won gold for hockey in 30 years! This could be HUGE! I hope we show Canada that they don't own hockey and that we are a formidable opponent and deserve their respect!
