Pupils and Punchlines

Yeah, so my co-worker is pretty much an idiot. One of our students, D, excitedly told us he has been accepted to NIU. My co-worker (who also went to NIU) proceeded to say, "You know they'll accept anyone who can fog up a mirror, right?" Even if he was joking, it was inappropriate because most of our students don't even dream big enough to imagine going to college. For one of them to actually apply and be accepted is HUGE. Luckily, none of my students got it (I guess the saying is a little dated). One of my students, M, asked, "What does that mean?" My co-worker said, "Think about it...how do you fog up a mirror?" M thought about it for a second and replied, "You take a shower!"

Ah...if it wasn't for my students, this job would drive me crazy!

That was pretty mean for your co-worker to say. Boo on them!
